When we dive into the depths of the sea, the colors disappear and the blue darkens. With us come all manner of microscopic organic waste and ordinary bits of plastic. The lush vegetation of the shallows gives way to misty, undulating mud. Photons no longer accompany us, and it's up to phosphorescent animals to illuminate the darkness of the deep.
