As an artist, I have always been drawn to imagery derived from the natural world.
Recently, my work has been increasingly influenced by environmental themes.
In 2019, after building my career as a printmaker, I turned my attention to painting and have begun to develop a new visual language in support of my conceptual ideas.
My focus has been on the threatened coastal landscapes the Gulf of Mexico, off the Florida Panhandle, and the Gulf of Maine, which includes Boston Harbor.
"Mariner’s Legacy" evokes vignettes on pieces of sailcloth, combining memories with dreams; views that were once pristine are now fleeting due to human activity.
